The Holy Father Pope Francis has today the 6th of January appointed the Most Rev Matthew Ishaya Audu as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of Jos Province and the Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Lafiya. Until his appointment he was the bishop of Lafiya Diocese in northern Nigeria. Bishop Audu was ordained bishop from among the clergy of Makurdi diocese on 31st May 2001. He has chosen the same date for his installation as Archbishop.
