Bishop Mamza celebrates Christmas with the Physically challenged

Ahead of the Christmas celebration, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Most Reverend Dami Mamza has shared 2million naira to 200 People living with disabilities in Adamawa state.

The cleric who doubles as the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Adamawa state chapter says the gesture is to cushion the untold hardship, particularly at this festive period. 

One after another, selected People living with disabilities arrived at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Cathedral Yola to meet with Bishop Dami Mamza.

Bishop Mamza received them with excitement and clearly defined the agenda of the meeting. 

He told them, that in the spirit of Christmas, he deems it necessary to share a token with them to help them celebrate cheerfully.

He says, it is customary for him to celebrate Christmas with the inmates every Christmas but due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, things have changed hence the reason for this gesture. 

Bishop Dami who doubles as the Adamawa state CAN Chairman uses the medium to further asked Nigerians to pray for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and other related infectious diseases.

Beneficiaries appreciate the cleric for his gestures more especially, humanitarian services aimed at uniting and promoting peaceful coexistence. 

They added that the Christmas bounty is timely and will help them get some necessary stuff.

Each one smiles home with ten thousand naira.
